GPA / CGPA calculator

Calculate credit-weighted GPA and CGPA with a configurable grade scale and repeat-course rule.

YOUR WORKSPACEProcessed on your device

Enter grade points from your institution’s scale, rather than raw percentages. This is a credit-weighted estimate; review your institution’s rounding and repeat rules.

For repeat matching, course codes ignore case and outer spaces. The last row wins, including its credits. Previous aggregate credits cannot be adjusted automatically: remove any replaced attempts from both the previous credits and previous GPA calculation yourself.

How privacy works

How it works

Choose the maximum grade-point scale, enter course credits and grade points, then select how repeated listed courses count. Add prior credits and prior GPA on the same scale to calculate CGPA.

Supported formats

Up to 200 courses; numeric grade points and credits with up to six decimal places; JSON backups.

Good to know

Grade points must be supplied by the user; raw percentages and letter grades are not automatically converted. Repeat matching applies only to listed courses. Previous aggregate credits and GPA need manual adjustment for replaced earlier attempts.

Worked example

Before

3 credits at 4 points and 1 credit at 2 points, on a 4-point scale

After

Listed-course GPA 3.5000

GPA is the sum of credit × grade points divided by counted credits, not the average of the two grades.

Use your institution’s grade-point rules

Count all attempts or keep the last listed attempt for each case-insensitive course code. The last attempt supplies both its points and credits. Enter only courses counted toward GPA; pass/fail exclusions and official rounding are your responsibility.

Troubleshooting

Why did changing the repeat rule change my counted credits?

The last-attempt rule replaces earlier rows with the same course code, including their credit values. It cannot identify or remove courses hidden inside a previous aggregate GPA.

Common questions

Can I mix a 4-point previous GPA with a 10-point semester?

No. Use a consistent scale and an institution-approved conversion before entering values. This tool does not infer an official conversion.

Can I use this without an internet connection?

Yes, after you prepare this tool from Offline help and the browser retains its assets. Installation is optional. All processing dependencies are bundled locally.
