Open a UTF-8 .tex file or a project ZIP, add bibliography files, images and styles, then choose the root document. Edit any text file and compile. Review the PDF and compiler log before downloading the result. Save a source or project ZIP to retain editable work.
Supported formats
UTF-8 .tex, .bib, .bst, .sty, .cls and related text files up to 1 MB each; PNG/JPEG, PDF and OpenType/TrueType attachments up to 20 MB each. Up to 100 files and 50 MB expanded; project ZIP up to 25 MB. PDF download up to 25 MB; preview up to 200 pages.
Good to know
Real XeTeX and BibTeX run locally in a worker with a two-minute compilation limit. The bundled common package sets are available offline after preparation; arbitrary TeX Live packages are not downloaded. Add missing project files yourself. Biber, minted/Pygments, shell escape and external programs are unavailable. Source files are not autosaved.

Choose a root document and inspect compilation messages
A project may contain several .tex files. The root normally contains documentclass and begin/end document. Missing classes, images or packages and invalid commands appear in the compilation log. A failed compile does not replace or discard source files. A previous PDF is marked out of date after edits. Project names are relative paths without parent directories or special TeX characters.

Why does my bibliography still show question marks?
Use BibTeX, include the .bib source and a supported .bst style such as plain, and check the BibTeX portion of the log. For biblatex, choose backend=bibtex. Biber and external programs cannot run in this browser compiler.
Common questions
Does this support full LaTeX documents rather than just equations?
Yes. It runs an actual XeTeX typesetting engine with document classes, packages, multi-file input, references and BibTeX. Compatibility depends on the bundled packages and files you add; it is not every possible native TeX installation.
Can I use this without an internet connection?
Yes, after you prepare this tool from Offline help and the browser retains its assets. Installation is optional. All processing dependencies are bundled locally.
