How privacy works

How it works

Start a receipt or open invoice details from the invoice maker, enter payment date, method and amount received, then review the balance and export PDF.

Supported formats

PDF receipts with optional logo; invoice/receipt JSON backups. Up to 200 line items and supported currency precision.

Good to know

Records one payment, not a payment ledger or payment processor. Amount received must be positive and cannot exceed the document total. Remaining balance assumes no other payments.

Line totals, discount and tax follow the existing invoice calculations; the receipt adds payment details without claiming the whole invoice is paid.

Check the payment before issuing the receipt

Invoice transfers preserve details and include the source document reference in notes. Enter the actual amount received and payment date yourself. No payment is sent, verified or collected by the website.

Troubleshooting

Why can I not export a receipt with zero received?

A receipt must record a positive received payment. Enter the actual amount, keep it within the invoice total and review the remaining balance.

Common questions

Can I reuse an invoice JSON backup for a receipt?

Yes. Import the backup into receipt maker and enter the payment details. Download a receipt backup separately to retain the editable payment information.

Can I use this without an internet connection?

Yes, after you prepare this tool from Offline help and the browser retains its assets. Installation is optional. All processing dependencies are bundled locally.
