Create certificates from a CSV

Prepare recipient columns, preview a plain-text template and review a ZIP of personalized PDFs.

Use public sample recipients to check the design before importing real names. The output is a personalized PDF; it does not verify an award, credential or digital signature.

  1. Prepare the recipient table

Use clear, unique headers such as name, course and date. Review duplicate keys and blank rows. You can send up to 200 cleaned records directly to batch documents.

    Open CSV cleaner & deduplicator
  2. Write exact column placeholders

Choose certificate or letter, then use {{name}} and {{course}} to match CSV headers. Templates are plain text rather than scripts or spreadsheet expressions.

Open Batch certificate & letter generator
  3. Preview and review the ZIP

Inspect the first PDF, generate the batch and review long names and unusual characters in additional files. Certificates must fit one landscape page; letters can use up to 40 portrait pages. Latin, Greek and Cyrillic are supported.

Open Batch certificate & letter generator
  4. Split larger recipient lists

Keep each job at 200 recipients or fewer and within the 60 MB output limit. Preserve a copy of the recipient CSV and logo separately from the template JSON backup.

Open CSV splitter & column extractor

Worked example

Before

name,course
Ada,Data skills
Sam,Data skills
Template: {{name}} completed {{course}}.

After

Two PDFs: “Ada completed Data skills.” and “Sam completed Data skills.”

Check before you finish

Review exact spellings, dates and recipient-file matching before sending anything. A first-document preview does not check every row. Template JSON excludes recipients and the logo.
